Get ready to celebrate 50 years of Albuquerque Pride on June 13, 2026!

Albuquerque PrideFest is a festival that features live music stages, drag performances, food trucks, and vendor booths spread across Civic Plaza, with a central focus on visibility and solidarity.

This one-day celebration's highlight is the Albuquerque Pride Parade. Thousands of people, from families to activists, gather to celebrate in the city’s revitalized downtown, where the glow of Pride decorations lights up Civic Plaza and downtown streets into the evening.

Here's what you can expect based on past celebrations:

Pride Village at the Civic Plaza

Festivities begin with a family-friendly daytime festival. Civic Plaza will be transformed into a Pride Village, with multiple stages for live bands, DJ sets, and drag shows, plus community booths and art installations. Organizers promise local and national acts headlining the lineup, plus cultural performances.

Vendors, including 100+ local businesses and nonprofits, line the plaza with crafts, local art, and rainbow merchandise. Food trucks and drink stands provide Southwest cuisine and festive treats. Young attendees have a KidZone with games and face-painting, ensuring that families are welcome.

By late afternoon, the energy peaks as the parade forms and moves through Nob Hill, and the evening continues with post-parade parties at nearby clubs and bars.

Albuquerque’s Pride Parade will step off at 10:00 AM from Central & Wellesley and march all the way to Central & San Mateo. Spectators line the sidewalks with cheering crowds and onlookers waving rainbows and signs.

    Beyond the Pride Weekend

Besides the Saturday festival, Albuquerque Pride organizes several lead-up events. In the weeks before PrideFest, local organizations and gay-friendly bars host fundraisers, film screenings, and discussions to build momentum. On Pride weekend itself, there is a community volunteer drive (“Pride Makes a Difference”) where attendees can contribute to food banks or youth shelters.

On Friday night before PrideFest, some bars host drag brunches and dancing under official Pride banners. After the parade, the celebration continues with music performances at local clubs and bars throughout Nob Hill and downtown, often featuring headline drag queens and performers from RuPaul’s Drag Race or local talent showcases.
